Phones are no longer just used to make calls or text people. There are many things that we can do with our phone now with the help of thousands of apps available. Android has some very simple and usefuls features that we use everyday. However, there are loads of handy hidden features and shortcuts just waiting to be discovered and we are going to run through few of them in this post.

 

1) Enable smart lock - 

There is a feature you just need to enable it and set up scenarios in which your phone can safely stay unlocked for extended periods of time.

To enable Smart Lock follow these below steps

  • Open the Settings app.
  • Under Personal, tap Security.
  • Under Advanced, tap Trust agents; make sure that Smart Lock is switched on.
  • Tap Back.
  • Under Device security, tap Smart Lock.
  • Enter your PIN, pattern or password

Once this is done, set how your gadget will automatically unlock: You can probably set this as a home location or When you have connected your phone with a specific device like Bluetooth.

2) Reject pre set messages-

To enable this option - 

  • Go to settings
  • Access the phone settings.
  • In the menu, you will see a Reject with SMS option

By using this setting you can edit any or all of the pre-set messages to be sent when you reject an incoming call.

3) Increasing system or interaface speed  -

To enable this option - 

  • Go to settings
  • About phone
  • and now click 7 times on the build number menu which will let you see the value of animation. You can probably lower the animation value to increase the system speed.

4) Clearing all the apps

This feature is in Android 7.0 Nougat where you can Scroll to the top of your recent apps and you will find a useful "Clear all" option . Click on that and all your current open apps will be closed in a second.

 

5) Faster typing

There is an option where you can get special characters very easily. All you need to do is touch your finger to the "?123" key and then slide it upward across the keyboard. Once this is done, You will see a screen with special characters and all the numbers appear instantly and you can now sipe you fingers where you want. Once you let go, that character will be inserted into your text, and the keyboard will go back to its regular QWERTY panel.
