Google Calendar is a great tool that lets you track and organize day-to-day events, set reminders, and goals, and create and edit tasks. It has several features like multiple calendars, repeating events, and reminders, that make it stand out among other tools with similar functions.

It also lets you create a backup for your calendar by exporting it to various platforms including excel, and you will learn how to do it in this post.

Let's get started already!

How to Export Google Calendar to Excel

There are two options for exporting Google Calendar. You can export events from a calendar, and you can also export events from all calendars. Remember, Google lets you have multiple calendars on one account.

Irrespective of your choice, find the steps to export Google Calendar to Excel below. However, you should know that you cannot export Google Calendar from the Google Calendar application. You need to use the Google Calendar web version instead.

Exporting Events from all Calendars

Here are the steps to export events from all calendars to excel:

Step 1: Open Google Calendar

Since you cannot export events from the app, the first step is to open the Google calendar web version on your computer.

Step 5: Extract The Files

Go to the download location on your computer. You will find the zip file in this folder, except you select to save it in a different folder. If you do, then, navigate to the folder and open the Zip file.

Step 7: Open the Folder

The extracted files will display in the window. Double click a file to open it, and Excel will launch the text conversion wizard. Leave the default selections in the wizard and click Next until you get to Finish. Click on Finish and the file will open in the active spreadsheet.

You can repeat steps 7 to 9, selecting a different exported file till you have converted the events from all the calendars.

Exporting Events from One Calendar

The first method will export the events from all calendars in your account. However, you can select one calendar to export, if you have multiple calendars and you do not wish to export the events from all of them. You can choose up to two, three, or more calendars if you want to export events from multiple but not all Google Calendars.

Below are the steps to do this:

Step 1: Open Google Calendar

Since you cannot export events from the app, the first step is to open the Google calendar web version on your computer.
